Upcoming Girls and Boys Program Events

Spring Registration:  (Please see below specific information on Girls and Boys programs!)

  • Look for the PWLC 2018 Spring Registration to open on 1 Nov 2017 for both boys and girls.
  • Last season some age groups filled up within 10 days.
  • Once registration opens, DO NOT DELAY in registering your athlete.
  • Please note that uniforms are NOT covered in the $135 registration fees. You will need to pay an additional charge for uniforms. Please follow instructions during the registration process to purchase a uniform. (We do this a la carte so that we don't charge you every year for a new uniform)

Girls Winter Program Information:  The girl’s winter program is only open to those players already registered for the 2018 Spring Season (We will accept new K2 players).

The primary purpose of the winter program is to evaluate and assess our players to ensure proper team placement.  This is absolutely essential to ensuring we place athletes on a team where they will be most successful.

A secondary purpose of the winter program is to reinforce skills and lacrosse fundamentals taught throughout our off-season programs, break the rust off sticks, and to ease the players into the 2018 season.

Program Details:
Location:              Battlefield SportsPlex 6958 Wellington Rd Manassas Va. 20109 (indoor)
Date:                     Jan 27, Feb 3, 10 2018  (skills/assessment), & Feb 24, 2018 (team practice)
Time:                    10:00-11:00:           K2
                             10:30-12:00:           Goalies
                             10:00-12:00:           7/8
                             12:00-2:00:             3/4 & 5/6

Assessment:  During the Jan 27, Feb 3 & 10 sessions, our coaching staff will expose players to lacrosse skills/drills and work with the girls to identify team placement.  Team placement is based on a player’s demonstrated lacrosse knowledge, skills, abilities, aptitude, attitude and potential.  We encourage attendance at all 3 of these sessions but, a minimum of 2 session is required for proper assessment.  We can’t assess what we don’t see.

Team selection: Our Goal is to make team selection and player notification shortly after the 10 Feb session.  This will allow for coaches to communicate with their teams, meet them and conduct one indoor practice on 24 Feb.

Based on parent and coach input from past seasons, we have made a conscious decision to hold these sessions indoors.  Having a climate controlled facility allows us to provide a safe, warm and conducive environment for the girls.  The $30.00 fee is to cover facility expense only.
