Lady Royals Fall Programs

Fall Programs for Girls' Lacrosse

1. Mini Tournament Season (Returning/Experienced Players)

We understand that once bitten by the lacrosse bug, players want to keep playing! And PWLC believes in giving players opportunities to keep a stick in their hand and continue to grow their game even in the off-season. Therefore, we are excited to introduce a “mini tournament season” for our players who would like to continue to play off season without the full year commitment of a travel club team. Separate programming will be offered for new players (please see Clinic info below). Our Fall tournament season will consist of two, local 7 vs. 7 tournaments and a weekly practice on Sunday afternoons. These tournaments offer a fun and competitive environment and are targeted to recreational level teams like the Royals. Participants are also asked to support our new player clinics as peer coaches as much as possible

2. Developmental Clinic (Returning players)

Royals offers a five-week more advanced development clinic designed for players who have played lacrosse before, but prefer not to participate in our tournament season. Programming will consist of a mix of instructional drills and short-sided game play. Our development will culminate in a 3v3 tournament on Nov. 3. Personal equipment required.

3. New Player Clinic

Royals offers a five-week instructional clinic designed for players who are new to lacrosse. Programming will consist of instructional drills and activities that will build to a short-sided (3v3) style play day at the final clinic. Sticks and goggles available to borrow.

Players:
Royals players with at least one spring season of experience. Players new to the club with prior playing experience will be considered as well.

Due to the 7v7 format, team sizes are capped at 18. Players should be available for both tournaments, able to attend the majority of practices, and are asked to consider supporting new player clinics as a peer coach. Players who have conflicts will be considered on a case-by-case base as space allows.**

Please note there is 12 player minimum for both tournaments, so if we are unable to meet that minimum, we will not be able to move forward, but developmental clinics will still be available.

**If you are a 7/8 player, committed to a club lacrosse team for the Fall and are interested in Fall Brawl only, please email Coach Maureen. We may be able to help place you on a separate Fall Brawl team.

Eligible Divisions:

  • 7/8 – Coach Chris Whitener
  • 5/6 – Coach Jenny Coleman
  • 3/4- Coach Jake Jeffries

Our goal is to create consistency and continuity in programming so Fall coaches will carry over to the 2025 Spring season.
